Phil Marriott won his cup in July 2005 as he and partner took first overall eight times!  What a record!
Phil winters in Arizona and spends summers in Seattle.  This year he was asked by partners to play in the Desert Empire Regional so he'll be a little late leaving our area.  Phil, a retired structural engineer, played bridge during lunch breaks as far back as 1946.  Until retirement in 2003 he was able to play only occasionally.  He joined the ACBL in 2004.  He is not yet a life master but promises to achieve that goal in record time.
