On Tuesday, January 29, 2008 Mark Neils won cup number twelve in our continuing Cup Quest. He placed first overall for the fifth time playing with Linda Mitchell. Mark learned bridge at home in Southern Alberta from his parents. He took up serious bridge as an antidote to pinochle-loving classmates at the University of Washington while studying Civil Engineering. He pursued bridge ardently through the 70's until other life interests interfered. Mark moved from Seattle to the Valley of the Sun in 2004 and retired from AIrborne Freight in 2007 and reactivated his interest in our game.
